Where does the time go? I cannot believe that it has been 28 weeks since my surgery!!

I have become WAY better at exercising! I could actually become addicted to it!
Still am SORE after a workout - a long way to go!
Psychologically - WOW - still hard to wrap my head around what my body is really looking like these days! I still "view" myself as a fat person!

Learning better posture at work so my butt does not hurt!

Well, after a fun weekend .. it is back to work tomorrow! The structure will be great!
I find I am craving tomato's, Cucumbers, all kinds of fruit and dill pickles! No, I am not pregnant! LOL

I have discovered that one-ounce of crab meat is still YUMMY!!! As is 1 ounce of shrimp!!
Weird hunger - am hoping it is MENTAL hunger... Not CRAVING anything so that is good. My followup with Doc. is this Friday!

Will try and post, however, the next 2 weeks are going to be HELL for me. Bingo AUDIT.. OY VAY!

All is GREAT!! I am so sorry I have not updated since the surgery -

The surgery went very well - unremarkable. The GAS was painful!! The pain killer the first night was marvie! THe pain was manageble from that point forward... some Lortab -- not too much! But I also wanted to allow my body the time to heal!

My RNY was laproscopic! so only 5 holes in my tummy! They started itching 2 days ago, very little bruising! More discomfort than pain. I am a tummy sleeper - soooo... that is still not do-able... but not much longer!

Following all the rules.. have not walked as much as I should have - but we just got over the heat wave -- so, from this point forward.. walk, walk, walk!!

I am down 16 pounds!! WOO HOO!!

WOW... only 1o days left till Surgery. WOWZA... This will be the longest 10 days of my life! LOL... I am ready. I just have to take measurements and pictures!! I am going to do that tonight and tomorrow! WoooHoooo.. Saturday night will be my last big meal. I want to eat light the last 4 days, so that my tummy is all good to go! No, by surgeons do not require a liquid diet prior to surgery.

I want to be more active - 6&7 go hand in hand! I want to run in the R&R half marathon here in va beach!!
I want to have more energy

I want to camp more and hike
I want to be able to ride rides at the theme parks - I am not - bu I want to be able to
I want to cross my legs
I want to be able to shop at a regular clothes store.

Well.. I had all my appointments and they went well... except I have to go see a cardiologist - due to an odd EKG. SO... I am a lil stressed.... about that. Well, I had my consult yesterday and it went really well! So April 30, I get with the scheduler and get all my pre-op appointments set up! So, I should have a date by June 1st. WOW... I am thinking July or August. Yes, it could be sooner, however, we are going to Indiana to see family at the end of June and I have not been up there in ages and I really want to go! So, it looks like mid-July to early August - depending on what the work schedule looks like! So much to do before than!! WOOOO

OK.. so I went to the seminar. I am ready. LOL. Ok, really, I have to wait until April 24 to have my FIRST appointment?!?!? OK, must learn patience. I filled out the on-line survey.. WOW... what a lot! And so I get to call in the morning and get on the "Cancellation" list! WOO HOO I really liked Dr. Spencer. Funny - dry funny. So, I am ready to go! And have several other things to do... so let me get going!!

I am not sure which step this is.. tonight is the seminar for Bon Secours... I am very excited! I think I ahve all what I need for tonight. I do need to make a list of diets I have tried in the last 29 or so years.. WOW... that is a LONG time.... since I was 13! And the bad thing is while I was heavy in high school, I was only in a 16-18! Not that bad... Sheesh...
So, I have stopped smoking! yea! Thank God for Ice Water - it has been a life saver!
I have made the decision - not an easy feat for me!
So I suppose this is step 3!
And inbetween I have researched the hell out of gastric bypass!

Well, it has not been an easy choice.

And not one I am taking lightly, but it is time. I go on March 17th to an information session with Bon Scours and I will go from there. I am looking at having the bypass surgery.

First and foremost I have made this decision for my weight. I am 42 years old and I have high BP, am pre-diabetic, and my joints have started to hurt - espicially my knees. I am 5'6" and 285#'s -- that is just too much!

I have been overweight forever! OK.. since i was 13 or so... but it sure seems like forever. It will be a thrill to see me thin!
